AI for Media and Storytelling (AIMS) is a collaboration between USC’s School of Cinematic Arts and the Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism, part of the Center for Generative AI and Society.
Rooted in the idea that stories and cultures shape each other—and that each era’s storytelling reflects its technologies—AIMS explores the intersections of AI, media, and narrative. Through experimentation, research, teaching, and critical discussion, we push the boundaries of what AI can mean for creative expression.
At Flux Festival, AIMS Studio played a key role in showcasing how emerging tools are reshaping storytelling. I curated Static in Bloom, an exhibit of student AI works, and participated in a screening and panel discussion. Throughout the festival, I interviewed artists, led student initiatives, and contributed to broader conversations such as a panel on AI’s evolving role in media. My work with AIMS and our subdivision, LucidAims, is ongoing, continuing to explore AI’s creative and critical possibilities.
